A good friend of mine told me about this excellent site. I have been stuck in a bit of a rut for a while following a break up with my long term girlfriend, and need to lose some weight, smarten myself up, and get back out in the real world, and I reckon this is just the place to do it.
Hi Flash *waves*. It's nice to see new peeps joining CHF
Sorry to hear about your break up but at least you are here and are starting to put your life together.
Personally, I would deal with your issues one at a time (I made a list). I know from experience that I
couldn't give up the fags and diet at the same time Hey, we all need some pleasures.
If you're thinking about giving up the cigs, have a read (and a giggle) at my Giving Up Smoking thread:-

Decided to lose a bit of weight and get a bit fitter first Bo, so I've been to have a look at a couple of gyms, very pricey they were too, even the council sports centre has been taken over by a private firm and costs the earth. i guess your right about not doing everything at once.
As for the flash naughty bo my ex-wife used to call me a flash git, cos i liked spending money on her, but then I went bankrupt, and she left me and flash was no more but now i'm back, but more as no cash flash

It would be easier to get fitter if you weren't puffing on the fags though And hey, what do you need expensive gyms for? What's up with good old fashioned walking and playing footie with your mates?
