Smile MrsB's weightloss thread

Hello all,

I've come to join the ranks and lose some weght.

I've had a read through some of the threads and you all seem a friendly and supportive bunch. Its really good and inspiring to see the progress that people have made

I'm 32 years old and have three children under five the youngest is 9 months.

The trouble is each time I've had a baby I've put on so much weight during pregnancy and before I've managed to lose any I'm pregnant again

The kids keep me quite active running around after them, but I find its so difficult to avoid eating being at home all day with unlimited access to the fridge

We've decided not to have anymore children and now I really want to do something about my weight. I don't feel attractive any more and feel I've become a bit of a frump. I rarely get dressed up as I'm house bound most of the time with the kids or just going down to the co-op or dropping the kids at nursery.

I've decided I'm going to restrict myself to three meals a day and no raiding the fridge in between. I don't get too much time for exercise as the kids are around all the time and need constant attention.

I've also decided to leave the car at home as much as possible and to walk to the shops and nursery. I don't want to be too ambitious at first just see how things go and may be later I can be flexing my muscles like Neon

Anyway, I thought I'd introduce myself and give a bit of background. I'll keep you updated on my progress. I know I'll stick to it if I have to report here.

Thanks for reading.

Mrs B

Thanks for the kind wishes!

Well started on Monday and have been very good this week! I've walked the kids to nursery and stuck to my three healthy meals. Feeling better already although a little hungry in the evening. Weighed myself today and have already lost 1lb so feeling very proud of myself. The real test is to see if I can stick to it over the weekend.

To stop those hunger pangs in the evening its good to have some crunchy raw carrots or fruit salad prepared.

Well done for losing the lb.

Keep it up MrsB.. sounds like progress to me. If three meals a day are tricky try cutting them in half and having 6 meals spread through out the day and evening which is probably better for the body overall anyway and having the same amount in total. Also, drinking loads of water is a good way to fill up and stop any hunger pangs too. Keep up the good work!
