Hi due to health reasons doctor told me i had to lose weight
i told him ive tried he said ok i will give you tablets anyone tried them XENICAL 120mg (Orlistat)
I asked him what diet should i follow he told me none the tablets will do the work?yea right that simple

I think your Dr's advice is good and bad.
If you are overweight and need to lose weight then he has given you good advice, do you have a specific health problem.
But his advice on taking pills is not so good, to lose weight you need to re educate your eating habits and take some gentle exercise if possible.
What are the tablets supposed to do, and how would theybenefit you?
I'd be very wary of any doctor who just wants to give you pills and send you on your way, especially with this kind of pills where the side-effects are numerous and nasty.
Do you have another dr you could consult in your surgery to at least get a second opinion?
Have to agree with the above replies, losing weight is a change of lifestyle completly, and I really don't think pills are the answer
Could you let us know what your other mediacl condition is that lead your dr to recommend this?
