Smile Zootie's mission

I'm 5ft 0ins and my weight generally fluctuates between 8-9st. After Xmas I weighed myself and was 9 st 3 so decided it was time to do something about it.

Three weeks later I weigh 8st 13 so have lost 4 lb. I'm going away on March 14th and hope to weigh 8st 4-6lb by then so I'm hoping to average just over a lb per week.

I intend to do 3 sessions of 30 mins aerobic activity per week and a bit of resistance training.

In terms of diet I intend to cut out snacks and eat three healthy meals a day. My diet is complicated in the fact that I am intolerant to gluten and I do tend to be a creature of habit and am not too imaginative or motivated in the cooking department. I'm also required to keep my calcium and iron levels up as a result of my condition.

I have done my 30 mins of aerobics today and have eaten a bowl of gluten free cornflakes for breakfast, had chicken with baked potatoe, cheese, carrots and brocoli for dinner, and toasted gluten free baguette for tea. I've also eaten a couple of apples and drunk numerous cups of coffee.

Wish me luck!

Thanks Neon!

Today I've eaten cheese on toast for breakfast, two yoghurts, an apple and banana for lunch and chicken and ham pasta for tea.

I've done my upper body using free weights (5KG) 2 sets of 12 for triceps, biceps, pecs, lats and deltoids, abs and obliques and worked lower without weights.

I used to eat a lot of porridge and quite liked it strangely enough. Unfortunately I can't eat it anymore.

I know that feeling, and I get even less imaginative when it comes to trying to eat healthily... I had to throw out the takeaway menus as it just seemed so much easier!

I'm not doing too bad, but had to ditch the menus or else I would have just picked up the phone several times by now!

Although having said that, it's payday this week so Friday night will mean a chinese or curry with the lads. Naughty, but it's only once a month!

What's on the menu tomorrow then Zoot? How about chicken and a jacket spud for a change?

Thursday I worked late so just had a toasted baguette with cheese, ham and onions. Didn't do any exercise either.

For breakfast it was cornflakes and lunch 2 yoghurts and a pear. I also had a ferero rocher as it was a colleagues birthday and they offered. I had forgotten that Ferro rocher contain wafer, chocolates are generally ok for coeliacs. Consequently my stomache has swollen and my weight went up to 9st 1.5lbs. I also noticed that the yoghurts I had eaten (Shape, which were buy one get one free I generally eat ski which are ok) also had been produced in factory handling wheat. Most dairy products are generally gluten free so I didn't check too carefully. It generally takes a week or two for my stomache to settle and go back to normal.

Yesterday I had cornflakes for breakfast, ski yoghurts and fruit salad for lunch and beef with mushroom sauce, new potatoes and carrots. Also had a couple of apples. I did some resistance training on my lower body.

Today I have had cornflakes for breakfast and will do 30 mins aerobics. Not sure whats on the menu yet I need to go shopping! Trying to avoid the jacket spuds and Chicken
