I gave up on the 1st of Oct. last year using the Allan Carr method. I had a bit of a relapse at the end of Jan. when we had some bad news in the family, but I am pleased to say I am now back on track. Starting again didn't ease the stress I was feeling, it just made it worse !!
So now I am here where there is safety in numbers !!!

Congratulations for your efforts so far. Can you tell me a little more about the Allan Car method. I'm hoping to quit soon and just looking into whats the method.
Xanadu, there is a book by Allen Carr called the 'Easy way to stop smoking' you can find it quite cheap on ebay etc. It is well worth a read, it deals with the way we feel about smoking, about what is happening to you body when you give up and how to deal with the withdrawal symptoms. You will see many reference's to 'Monster bashing' on here. That is one of his expressions. It is well worth the time reading. Good luck.

Hope you're still going strong Lex! I've only just started been three days now and the cravings are a nightmare. I'll have to see if I can get hold of that book also.
