SmokingIf you want to give up smoking the why don't you tell us about it and let us keep you company. You can also discuss other smoking-related issues here.
I survived a bad day, yesterday. My main Agri. contractor lent his mate MY implement for hoisting people up trees, did not tell me and forgot who he lent it to !!!. This left me with two chainsaw guys standing around till I found it.
Having retrieved said implement and started the guys off I came in to a snotty message from my Boss as to why was I not sitting by the phone in case he might happen to ring me. I just know had I been in at he time he would have wanted to know why I wasn't out working !! we go in for 'seagull management' here.
What should have been a busy but enjoyable work day turned into chaos.
On the plus side of things, I never felt the need for the weed, a fortnight ago this would have been a '40' day at least.
YES, I really feel I am getting there

All is going along fine, I don't feel like ciggy at any time really. However I been told that if I mention 'Allan Carr' one more time I am sharing with the dogs. LoL ( I think Mrs Lex might be next to quit)
The post man (forgot what they looked like) delivered me the 'Easy Way' DVD today. I thought I would pick up a copy to have a look. I like to read but I know some people find viewing easier. I still prefer the book, but the DVD gets all the points across and might well suit some younger nicotine addicts.
Feeling good all round
Thanks for all your support folks

I was going to say 'not much to report' but there is really
Cough has almost gone, I hardly notice it now. Only after some hard exercise
Sense of smell is much better, not always a good thing with 6 dogs
Taste buds are having a field day, it's funny how some mundane things take on a new appeal, I can smell fresh bread a mile away.
My energy levels seem to have increased somewhat.
In fact I am feeling damm good.
And now for the ultimate test, a night out round at a friends with alcohol and the semi final of the Rugby World Cup
Good luck every one else over the weekend
Lex

Well here I am at the start of the third week, I would not have believed it could have been this easy.
According to all the research my body should be completely nicotine free by next Sunday, any problems after that are all in my head.
I must say I am feeling pretty good about it, quietly confidant.
Roll on next week

I went out with Mrs Lex and a group of friends to celebrate one of their Birthdays. It was nice for a change not to be one of the 'back yard gang' running out to the back of the Pub every half hour or so to feed the 'Little Monster'
Only problem was that we missed the 'food' time, God was I hungry !!!
I hope everyone else is having a good weekend and keeping the faith

FIVE WEEKS, FIVE WEEKS, FIVE WEEKS, FIVE WEEKS, FIVE WEEKS
How much better do I feel about myself. I am fitter, I don't cough every morning, hopefully I don't smell like a old ashtray anymore and I reckon I am already £300 better off !!!!
If I was talking about anyone else, I would be proud of them. As it's me, I wish I had done it years ago
As usual it's the good old C.A.G. support network to thank, well done you folk.
A very happy Lex
