Well, SG all I can say is WOW. With all the erm, poop you've been going through lately, I think it's very admirable of you to quit the fags too

Bo is *in awe*

Well done and I'm really pleased that your BP has gone down. Hopefully, you'll be able to make a CAG meet and I can buy you a voddy and Vimto so we can celebrate quitting together Well, actually, you can buy me a few, coz you will be loaded by the time the next meet comes around

Hey Xan, no smilies is doing my head in too Fortunately, I printed out a copy of the link you gave me so I can do a DIY job

Unfortunately, there's no laughing smilies on here - well not yet, anyway

Got debt problems? Being harassed by Debt Collection Agencies? Got a Consumer issue or simply want to reclaim your bank/credit card charges?

Well, what are you waiting for? Get yourself on the CAG forum - you won't regret it and that's a promise

Hiya friends

Thanks for all your lovely messages!

Yes I am still very much smoke free and starting to really feel the difference now! I have asthma and have managed to cut down my treatment by HALF since I stopped smoking My blood pressure is still going down, and when it was last checked just before Easter my GP said that if this trend continues he may soon be able to reduce the blood pressure treatment tablets ...and I am quids in with my non-smoking pot - got £200 in it I would have had more but I've treated us to a couple of meals from it...just shows how it mounts up though eh???

Unfortunately we had to come home early from our break to the Lake District because we both got a stomach bug which still hasn't gone As a result of that I have now also lost 6lbs in weight .... so I must be the only new non smoker to LOSE weight in the first six weeks rofl !

One thing I have noticed is the bad SMELL of stale smoke when I walk into anywhere and someone has just had a cig! Has anyone else noticed that? While I was in the doctors a woman walked in and she reeked of cigs - she must have had one in the car park before she came into the surgery

Its lovely not to have to stand freezing my assets off at the back door sneaking a quick one as well !

All the withdrawal symptoms have gone now (touch wood) and I've not had the urge for ages!!

Good luck and hugs to you all, keep up the good work!

Love SG x

Yay - well done SG. Oi, where's your tracker?

I knew your asthma would improve as we have a friend who has asthma and since stopping smoking, it has improved considerably.

Oooo 200 quid would've bought a few crates of cheap voddy Just shows how much money accumulates when you actually put it away rather than spend it on the cigs.

6lbs - not a nice way to lose weight but hey, who cares

Funnily enough I can understand about what you say about the smell of cigs on someone else but I don't find it a problem tbh - weird. When I've tried stopping with sheer willpower, the smell of cigs on someone else is what made me want to go and have one - can you believe that?

I'm so please for you SG. I find that just opening a window at home and popping my head out and breathing fresh air seems to make me feel even better about being a non-smoker

*Hugs* to you and congrats. You have had lots to be proud of in the last few months

Bo

Its so good to read the change in peoples lives from giving up smoking. It certainly gives me more determination to get through. I'm already noticing the smell on other smokers and thinking god did I really smell that bad!

Well done to you SG!
