Well, me being me, I read through all the instructions on my "dog food" and it actually said, "take with or without food". So yesterday I took with food and today I thought I would put it to the test and took it without food. Big mistake - I had to go lie down for an hour a couple of hours after I'd taken it - I felt sooo sick. Not going there again, it's deffo "with food" from now on.

Still smoking but hey, I've got a couple of weeks to decide when I'm going to stop totally.

For the first three days, I take a table in the morning, next few days one in the morning, one at night and then after that it increases to double the dose. Hmmmm, will see how it goes

Thank you Renog Well, I definitely need sommat I've continued to smoke as usual but I'm hoping that I'll just get the Champix to help me out. I must admit my food is tasting a bit weird at the mo but it's early days

Well, day three on the "dog food" and nothing to report really. Still smoking, still getting strange dreams Making sure I eat breakfast before taking my morning tablet though

Tomorrow should be interesting as I will be taking a tablet in the morning and one in the evening.

Just popped in to see how you are getting on. I see you made the tab with no food mistake, yup, I learned that lesson too.

So how are you feeling? I didn't have any instant desire to stop smoking on the Champix, I did with the Zyban though. I actually had to make the decision to not smoke that day and I was fine. But making the decision was actually the hardest bit.

Thats four weeks today for me. This week has actually been the hardest, it feels as if I'm trying to tempt myself constantly. Really really stupid things, like walking by a shop and thinking "I would have been going in there to buy fags" or walking by a pub and everyone is outside and thinking "I would be standing there having a fag". I mean ffs. Do you think its a kind of grieving process or maybe I'm just testing myself? Its not like I even want a fag. Maybe I'm just mental?

Anyway, I suppose the upshot is I'm still off the fags! :-D

Give us another update BO. Hope you're not feeling too sick. I'm still getting the nausea now, but it only lasts for a few minutes (or until I forget about it) :-D

Hi C!!!

I did the “without food” thingy deliberately to see whether I would be OK or not. Er, NOT btw!!!

I feel OK actually, apart from the very weird dreams, they seem to work on my subconscious and are everything I wanted to forget from the past – like my ex!!!! The worst one was when I woke up one morning and it was like I'd just had the dream and I was cuddled up with one of the blokes from work It's not like he's good looking either (sssshhhh, didn't tell Mr Bo about that one!!!)

I haven’t decided on any particular day to stop, just when I feel like it. Maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday (not doing it on a Monday!!), when I feel ready.

Wow, four weeks for you then girl. Who’s a clever bunny? When I stopped with the Allen Carr book and a bit of willpower, I found the hardest week the fifth one too for some reason. Unfortunately, that’s when I started again

Nope, you're not mental, just human. Don't forget, smoking is a drug after all. Congrats for being off the fags, I just really hope that I can join you soon

Didn't update yesterday coz 'puter on the blink and tonight, I spent yonks trying to fix my scanner too. And people wonder why I smoke?

Also, I'm not getting instant e-mail notification on subs to this forum. I'm sure some nice MOD will see this post and sort it, after all it's a new forum and will take some tweaking
