I started using Champix three weeks ago and stopped smoking two weeks ago today! :-D

I haven't really had that many side effects. I get about five mins nausea after I take the tab, which is helped by taking it with something to eat or with a coffee.

I was on a huge high for the first few days of stopping smoking, I actually felt as if I was on some kind of other drug lol. That settled down a few days later with an enormous low. I don't really know if it was to do with the drug or just how I was feeling though. I have a son with behavioural difficulties and had a really bad day with him, so I cried lots that night. Good chance I would have did that anyway.

However, this morning is the first time that I have thought they might be making me a wee bit down. I had a really really bad morning with him, won't go into details but a lot of it was my fault and on the way to work I was crying in the car and the thought that he would be better off without me crossed my mind. I have since got rid of that thought and I've just spoken to him on the phone and he's fine. So I do feel a lot better. On a more positive note, I could soooooooo easily have gone for a packet of ciggies out the garage when I dropped him at school, but I didn't and I think if it wasn't for the champix I would easily have been smoking. But now I know I can deal with these situations, the next time will be easier.

Overall I have found Champix the miracle drug that everyone proclaims it to be and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone! (unless you have a history of depression!!!).
